Anna and Dante go to see Jordan who is hiding out in a seedy motel.

The Best and Worst of 2014
As we come to the close of 2014 let's take a look back at what we loved and hated about GH this year.
At the top of my list has to be the "Fluke" storyline. I am almost to the point where I just don't care who "Fluke" really is. It is someone who had plastic surgery to step into Luke Spencer's life and whose goal is to take Sonny down. Who is it? Does anyone care anymore???
At the second on my list of the worst of 2014 has to be the resurrection of characters who just won't die. Although I love a good villain, the Cassadines just keep coming back no matter what and 2014 saw the re-birth of Stavros and Helena. As the year ends, Stavros is dead again (we hope) and Helena is spending the holiday with her beloved grandson Nikolas.
Another character that just won't stay dead is Heather Webber. The revelation that she was really Franco's mother wasn't all that shocking nor was the fact that Scott Baldwin was his father. What was annoying was that no facility seems to be able to keep her locked up. With her history you would think they would take precautions.
The kidnapping of babies is getting to be too much as well. Can anyone expect to have a baby and bond with it the first few weeks or should any expectant mother expect that their bundle of joy will spend the first few weeks or months with the resident psycho du jour?
Characters coming back from the dead seems to be the theme lately. Jason is back but doesn't remember being Jason and for as close as so many think they were to the former mob hitman, NO ONE RECOGNIZES HIM??? Yes his face is different but no one recognizes his VOICE??? UGH!!! It seems that Jason is a part of Helena's evil plan which somehow involves Fluke, Faison and Jerry (another villain who just won't die!).
So what was good about GH this past year???
The addition of Michelle Stafford as crazy Nina Clay was a great coup for GH. She is one helluva actress and although the character of Nina is annoying at times, Michelle plays it to perfection.
The Felix/Brad?Lucas storyline was fun and so needed. It also ended too fast. Also loved the Epiphany/Milo hook-up but that too was not explored enough.
I loved it when Duke finally stood up to Anna. Anna became very self-righteous and Duke was becoming so wimpy. When Duke finally stood up for himself and actually raised his voice to her, well, I was cheering. Duke the mobster is far more attractive than down-on-his-luck-looking-for-a-job Duke.
The kids of Port Charles have been entertaining. Spencer is what a Cassadine kid should be. Privileged, spoiled and manipulative. Gotta love him! You can tell that Josslyn doesn't spend nearly enough time with her dad and takes after her mom Carly. The competition between Spencer and Cam for Emma's affection has been wonderfully played by all involved. Fast forward a few years and I predict more fireworks between these kids.
It was nice to have retro characters back in the spotlight for a bit. Lucy and Kevin, Felicia and Mac, Bobbie and Scott- it was really great for long-time fans to see what these characters are up to now. Sadly the show stretches out some story-lines until the fans just are fed up but hey, we keep coming back for more, don't we?
I love that Johnny is back and although there is a lot of criticism about the mob wars, I like the Jeromes and I love Sonny!
It has been nice to see the Quartermaines again and hopefully this will help to balance the mob focus of late.
I do love Tracy and Luke together and cannot wait for the real Luke to return.
There does seem to be a lack of female characters for all the eligible men in Port Charles. If I have to see Nikolas and Elizabeth reunite again, well, I just can't. He finally got wise to Britt but there is no one for him to hook up with. I cannot see him and Carly together and Sam is his cousin so who is left?
I loved it when Alexis finally gave in and hooked up with Julian. Hopefully we see them back together in 2015.
I have to admit that I do like Patrick and Sam together. Now you know they are going to get close and then BOOM! Jake is going to remember who he is. That's soaps for you. No such thing as happy endings, stability or a lack of drama.

Franco tries to play the insanity plea but the judge doesn't buy it and orders him to Pentonville to await trial.
Jordan works with Shawn to find out Rick's whereabouts but is overheard by Carlos who decides to take matters into his own hands.
Johnny taunts Sonny about the baby's paternity.
Morgan is crushed to find out that the baby is not his and Kiki offers comfort.
Carly thanks Silus for his help and tells him that the results are for the best.

Johnny's people are the ones who kidnapped Rick from the witness protection program and he is using this to try and gain control of Sonny's territory.
Meanwhile Julian wants to steer clear of this mess and tells Carlos that although they know where Rick is, he wants nothing to do with it.
Jordan goes to Julian and Carlos and tries to get business up and going again, hoping that she can get a lead on where Rick is.
Sam is hell-bent on proving that Jake helped to free Faison, unaware that he is really Jason.
Elizabeth and Sam argue about Sam's suspicions and drag the past into their fight.
Nathan talks Alexis into helping Nina who is behind bars.

A Secret is Exposed
Leisel is upset over Faison's arrest when she runs into Helena on the docks.
Nikolas explains to Spencer why he is through with Britt but Spencer does not take the news well.
Britt tells Brad about what happened with Nikolas and he offers her support.
"Luke" catches up with Alice who tells him she had suspicions about Fluke but no one would listen to her.
Anna comes to apologize to Tracy and "Luke" for letting Faison go and Tracy angrily refuses to accept her apology.
Sam and Patrick go to see Faison.
Faison admits to shooting Jason but tells Sam that Jason is not dead and Patrick knows this.

Luke Returns! (Well- Kind Of)
Lulu goes to the Quartermaine's to stall Larry who continues to play dumb.
Patrick and Sam meanwhile go to the bank to break into the safety deposit box.
Anna begins to explain what really happened to Faison.
Spencer talks Emma into skipping school in order to give one last attempt at winning her over.
Luke (who has been held captive and drugged in Moncavage) breaks free of the strait jacket and tries to figure out who is living his life attempts to break free.
Sam manages to open the box only to find a picture of Faison and a locked box.
Larry gets to the bank and finds Patrick and Sam.
Nikolas and Britt find Spencer and Emma in the stables.
Nikolas wonders who the bad influence is that has helped to turn his son into a liar.
Anna and company arrive at the stables and she confesses her story of how she and Robert hid Faison in the stables.
Julian begins to confess all to a confused Alexis.
The group discovers that Faison has managed to escape from captivity.
Lulu fills in Tracy with the truth about Larry's connection to Jerry and Tracy wonders if Luke has been in on it and not a captive after all.
Just as Luke gets the door unlocked, someone is there to stop him.

Faison is Alive?
Britt confesses to Nikolas that she has changed her mind and will be helping press charges against Anna.
Patrick and Sam excitedly tell Lulu that they have a lead thanks to their investigation of Lord Larry Ashton.
Lulu agrees to help.
Olivia goes to see Julian in jail and accuses him of hiding the truth about who killed Connie and finds out that it was Ava who shot her.
Franco has enough of Nina's craziness and step by step gets her to see that she is living a lie.
Ava hides the truth from Silus and gets him to immediately leave with her in search of her baby.
Anna is confronted by Dr. Obrecht who promises her that she will pay for killing Faison.
Larry continues his plan but Tracy is suspicious of his behavior.
Alexis joins the Quartermaines for breakfast but then leaves when she hears Julian has been locked up.
Lucas urges his father to come clean with Alexis.
The justice department officer arrives with papers for Anna and she declares that Faison is not dead.

Is it just me but why can't bad guys (or girls as in the case of Heather Webber) ever really stay dead on General Hospital??? I mean, enough already? Heather came back yet again. The Cassadines keep coming back. Now we are supposed to believe that Faison along with Jerry (another one who just won't stay dead) is the money behind the Jeromes and has been masquerading as Luke??? Coming soon is the return of Johnny Zaccara. If you will remember, Johnny went to prison for his role in the deaths of the characters on loan from One Life to Live who after the whole lawsuit with Prospect Park who owned the rights to the characters had GH erase them as if they never existed. The actors who played Todd Manning, Starr Manning and John McBain got new characters in the form of Franco, Kiki and Silus. Did Johnny kill his grandfather Anthony? I think so. This was during the whole Connie debacle when she was suffering from DID. Anyway...my beef is with the lack of originality on the part of the writers. Is it just me but why can't bad guys (or girls as in the case of Heather Webber) ever really stay dead on General Hospital??? I mean, enough already? Heather came back yet again. The Cassadines keep coming back. Now we are supposed to believe that Faison along with Jerry (another one who just won't stay dead) is the money behind the Jeromes and has been masquerading as Luke??? Coming soon is the return of Johnny Zaccara. If you will remember, Johnny went to prison for his role in the deaths of the characters on loan from One Life to Live who after the whole lawsuit with Prospect Park who owned the rights to the characters had GH erase them as if they never existed. The actors who played Todd Manning, Starr Manning and John McBain got new characters in the form of Franco, Kiki and Silus. Did Johnny kill his grandfather Anthony? I think so. This was during the whole Connie debacle when she was suffering from DID. Anyway...my beef is with the lack of originality on the part of the writers. Ava's on the Run!
After Anna discovers Ava missing from her hospital room, Michael blames Kiki for helping her mother to escape.
The judge denies bail to Carly but then changes her mind once Sonny pleads guilty.
Anna brings Julian in for questioning and he is surprised when he hears that Ava killed Connie.
Julian is angered when Anna has him put in a cell.
Ava goes to Silus and begs him to help her which he finally agrees to thinking she is in danger from the mob.
Morgan and Michael have it out again.
Diane is frustrated when Sonny pleads guilty and is taken to Pentonville.
Patrick stalls Larry while Sam searches his room for a safety deposit key.
Sam and Patrick plan to get a jump on Larry and hopefully find out the truth about Luke.
Jordan and Shawn tell T.J. that Shawn's killing his father was not an accident.
T.J. asks if Shawn is he is his real father but he is told that a DNA test was done and Thomas is his father.

Deadly Plans
As November sweeps near, General Hospital is heating up!
Two people are being hunted and only one is aware of the price on their head. As Ava fights back from almost losing her baby due to the medication that Sabrina intentionally gave her, she is unaware of the true identity of who is watching the brownstone. Madeline has been forced into her daughter Nina's sick plan to steal Ava's baby. How far will Madeline go to make Nina happy?
Meanwhile Sonny and Shawn have gone forward with their plan to eliminate Franco before he and Carly get to say "I do". Little do they know that their abduction of Heather has put a thorn into Franco's grand plan for his surprise for Carly.
Franco and Carly's wedding day comes and Franco finds out that someone has kidnapped Heather ruining his plan.
Meanwhile Michael informs his family about how he has urged Anna to re-open A.J.'s murder. Carly gets nervous knowing that Michael will stop at nothing to get to the truth.

The Week in Review
What a week it was on General Hospital!
The mystery patient's bandages were removed and we got our first glimpse of Jason Morgan. Unfortunately, Helena Cassadine is keeping tabs on his condition and as long as Jason doesn't remember who he is and no one recognizes him he is safe.
Elizabeth has been tending to him and although she feels a certain connection, she cannot figure out why.
Franco is making plans for revenge against Carly and Sonny and goes to see his mother Heather to tell her that she was right about Carly all along.
Carly tries to convince her mother Bobbie to leave her all and respect her choice to marry Franco.
Sonny and Shawn conspire to get rid of Franco and pin it on someone else.
The truth about Nina is beginning to emerge with Britt recognizing that she needs psychiatric help.
Madeline tells Nathan that Nina is unbalanced and potentially dangerous but he doesn't believe it til he runs into Silus who has just been attacked by her.
Thanks to the medication Sabrina provided, Ava experiences labor pains. Afraid for her safety she gets Kiki to bring Silus to her for help.
Michael wants to start a clinic in A.J.'s memory and when he asks Sabrina to volunteer they wind up discussing his father's murder and she tells him that Carlos was not responsible.
Sam, Patrick and Tracy are led to believe that Jerry Jacks is the mystery boss when in all truth, Helena Cassadine is behind it all. We still do not really have an answer about who is masquerading as Luke Spencer while he is drugged and locked up in the mental hospital.
Britt is welcomed back into Nikolas and Spencer's home but has nightmares about Nik learning that she was behind Spencer's disappearance.
Sabrina feels guilty about her switching Ava's meds and confesses to Felix that she needs to make it right even if it means she loses her career and her freedom.
COMING:
Carly continues to prepare to marry Franco on Halloween while the groom-to-be prepares to give Carly the wedding no one will forget.
The truth about Sonny and Ava will change many lives and expect this to happen by the end of the month.
Jason continues to get better and has flashes of memories.
Nina devises a plan for Madeline to make things up to her.
Nathan doesn't know who to trust.

The Identity of Fluke is Revealed - Or Is It
We are building up to November sweeps on General Hospital and lots of storylines are coming together.
Finally Silus is on to Nina after he witnesses her literally chasing after Franco. From that he finds out that not only has Nina been able to walk since she came to town but she has been paying off her physical therapist to help keep her secret. Silus is outraged over all the lies and figures out that Nina is the one who tipped off the reporter and got Patrick fired.
Silus tells Nina that he does not consider them married and he is done with her.
Nina runs into her cousin Britt and tells her that she was wrong about the menopause diagnosis and Britt walks away from the encounter wondering what is wrong with this woman.
Meanwhile the mystery patient gets his bandages off and although Liz feels a moment of feeling like she knows who he is, she doubts her instincts.
Dante takes his fingerprints but mysteriously after getting a hit all of a sudden the computer says there is no match.
What no one knows is Helena makes sure that Jason will not be identified.
Speaking of Helena, she puts Jerry Jax up to meeting Tracy, Patrick and Sam, claiming that it is he who is the head of the crime ring and demands ELQ as ransom payment for Luke's life. After the meeting he goes to Helena who seems to be running the show. Okay, well who is the person running around in Luke's skin then???
Thanks to Spencer's pushing, Nikolas has Britt move back in with them. Spencer almost slips and tells about how Britt and he conspired to push them back together. You know Nikolas will find out but when?
Nathan returns home to find his mothers waiting. Madeline was just about to share with her sister what is really wrong with Nina when Nathan barges in very upset that they are both in his apartment.
We all know Nina is not right in the head but according to Madeline there is something more going on.

Elizabeth feels compelled to stay at the mystery patient's bedside and gets good news that he is waking up.

Dante tells Lulu that he will not be going to Amsterdam and instead will be staying home with his family.

Maxie bursts in on Morgan to apologize to him and ask for advice.

Franco gifts Carly with an unusual necklace.
Nina asks Franco why he would marry a woman he cannot trust and he lets her in on his secret.
Sonny goes to see Carly to tell her about Ava being missing and it is all being recorded by Franco.
Kiki arrives home to find her mother hiding out.
Kiki is suspicious of Ava's fears and she tells her and Morgan that she witnessed Sonny shoot AJ.
Tracy agrees to try and find Luke for Dante and Lulu.
Alexis tells Sam and Patrick that she will get the truth about Luke from Julian.

Lulu asks Tracy where her dad is and Tracy reluctantly confesses that she has no idea.
Dante overhears their conversation and he shares with them the suspicions surrounding Luke.
Patrick goes to see Sam to work on the case and they discuss with Alexis their theory about Luke.
Shawn finds Jordan at the hospital and figures out that it was Ava who ran over the mystery man and not Jordan.

Nikolas wants to talk to Dante and Lulu about Luke but then decides it can wait another day.
Mac and Felicia meet up with Maxie at the police station.
Britt gets filled in by Nathan about his ordeal and encourages him to go after Maxie.
Julian goes to see Sonny demanding that he tell him where Ava is.
Jordan takes the blame for the accident and Sabrina discovers that she has the medication she gave Ava.
A mysterious patient comes into GH in bad condition and Elizabeth does her best to comfort him, unaware that it is Jason.
Sonny has Shawn look for Jordan to find Ava.
Ava shows up at Morgan and Kiki's and begs Morgan to help save her from Sonny.
Morgan finds it hard to believe that his father would hurt a woman, and Ava tells him that all her guards are dead thanks to Sonny's men.

Helena is angry when she hears that Jason got away.
Ava runs over Jason with her car and calls Jordan for help.

Kiki tells Carly that if she keeps away from Sonny she will keep her secret.

Sonny shares the good news about Dante and Lulu and then Carly brushes him off but Sonny refuses to leave.
Michael is surprised when Rosalie shows up and she continues to feed his insecurities about Morgan and Kiki.
Nina prepares Franco for some honesty from a friend.
Ava is stunned to find out that Morgan was trying to see her.
Sabrina vows to make Ava pay.
GENERAL HOSPITAL WAS RUDELY INTERRUPTED TODAY BY A LIVE NEWS CONFERENCE REGARDING HOW THE NFL HAS BEEN HANDLING DOMESTIC ABUSE ISSUES.
Unfortunately there is no more SoapNet and in order to see today's episode ABC.com might be an option. I am not sure if this episode will be repeated in its' entirety. I sure hope so because I for one want to see if Nina is going to tell Franco the truth about Carly and Sonny.
I also want to see if Ava will manipulate Morgan. Will Michael see through Rosalie or will he finally realize that his girlfriend and his brother might really belong together? Will Carly be able to fend off Sonny who seems hell-bent on the truth coming out?
Dante, Lulu, Maxie, Nathan, Anna and Dr. Obrecht will be returning with quite a story about what went down at Crighton Clinic.
Perhaps the biggest news of all will Robin and Jason come home to Port Charles?

Anna storms the clinic and finds Leisel with Victor Cassadine.
After a discussion about who is Nathan's daddy, Leisel shoots Victor much to the shock of Anna.
Nathan saves Maxie from Peter Harold and his father and they work as a team to kill both men.
Lulu fights Stavros who is trying to implant her with the fertilized egg he had stolen from her when he previously held her captive.
Dante arrives and the men wrestle to free Lulu.
In another room, Jason breaks free and happens upon Robin and saves her.
Anna goes off to find Nathan and Dante.
Leisel tells Victor that since he now knows that he is not Nathan's father he needs to die.
A near-death Victor asks Leisel who Nathan's father is and she responds that it is someone far worse than him.
Patrick and Sam share dinner and give in to their feelings for each other.

Dante and Nathan worked night and day trying to find the girls and it got ugly once they did.
Nathan witnessed Dante, Maxie, Lulu and the SWAT team get gassed by Victor Cassadine and company who later took him hostage as well.
When Victor found out that Nathan was Leisel's son, he questioned who his father was.
Sam and Patrick worked to find out who put Raif up to running Patrick and family off the road.
Nina comes face to face with Ava and Ava walks away feeling shaken.
Franco senses Carly hasn't been honest but what will he do about it?
Sam and Patrick finally shared what they discovered and just when Patrick was going to tell Sam the truth about the clinic, Emma told her father about Spencer's secret.
Sam got Spencer to tell them what he knew and he told them Luke Spencer was the one who threatened Emma's life.
While in captivity, Dante hinted to Lulu that her father is a suspect in some dangerous business.
Victor demanded to know the truth about Nathan and threatened Leisel if he finds out she has lied.
Leisel realizing that Victor was holding Nathan burst into Anna's office and told her she knows where the hostages can be found.
Britt attempted to get closer to Nikolas much to Elizabeth's dismay.

Jason is Coming Back
IT IS FINALLY BEEN CONFIRMED AFTER MONTHS OF BACK AND FORTH DENIALS- JASON IS RETURNING AND HE WILL BE RE-CAST!
Billy Miller, Billy on the Young & the Restless, will be portraying Jason Morgan. I became somewhat hooked on Y&R and I didn't really like Billy all that much. His character was immature and annoying at times. Can the actor pull off being Sonny's mob hit man? Well, we will see. I love Michelle Stafford (formerly Phyllis on Y&R) as Nina. Now SHE can act. The re-cast of Lulu with former Y&R's "Abby" has ruined the character for me. I also enjoy Steve Burton on Y&R as Dylan. I do miss him as Jason but it is nice to see him play a character with more range.
How do you feel about Jason being re-cast?
General Hospital is doing things the "old" GH would NEVER have done. I mean, who would have ever thought with the Quartermaine family dwindling that they would actually kill A.J.?
From the moment Sean Kanaan returned to the role his storyline was a joke. What a waste of talent. So when he went to the producers and asked to be let go, they chose to kill him off.
Although I like some of the changes at GH, I have to say that I am on the fence about the whole "Fluke" storyline. We will see where it goes but it seems it has been dragged out way too long.
Now Jason returning to find Sam has moved on and possibly with Patrick of all people? Again, we will see.
