May Sweeps

Many storylines have been building to their exciting climax and Friday set us up for what is to come...

Jason struggles with the fact that in his mind, Sam turned to John McBain instead of him. She has shared intimate details and secrets that no one else knows. In Sam's mind she justifies her betrayal by insisting that she was trying to spare Jason the awful truth- Franco is his brother and the father of her child.

Will Jason stand by Sam or is this relationship unrepairable?

Elizabeth now knows the truth about Sam being raped by Franco and tried to be a good friend to Jason by listening to his reasons for being so upset with Sam. She is also in the middle of the quest for finding the real killer of Lisa and seems to have realized that Spinelli could be right- Matt could have killed Lisa that night and not remembered doing the deed. Much to Elizabeth's horror she remembered how drunk Matt was that night.

Elizabeth finds Ewen laying on the floor of his office unconscious. Will she figure out that it was Kate who did this to him?

Will Ewen survive this attack?

Where was Kate/Connie headed?

Sonny still feels that there is a reason why Kate has acted the way she has and he remembered how Jason told him that Kate is ill.

Carly doesn't believe that Kate is ill and told Sonny that there is no excuse for how she or Johnny hurt them.

Johnny still feels that he can tell Carly the truth and somehow repair the damage he and Connie did.

Tracy is desperate to end her marriage to Anthony but what lengths will she go to? Will she get Luke to help her?

Patrick is still struggling to move forward. Matt goes to see him and doesn't realize the severity of his depression. Meanwhile Patrick asks Elizabeth to take care of Emma. Elizabeth believes that Patrick is working at another hospital and tells him how happy she is that he is moving on with his life.

Dante frantically searches for Lulu, knowing that Ronnie knows more than he is saying. Where does Ronnie have Lulu hidden? Is she still alive?

Alexis hopes to get Maxie a lesser sentence since she will not confess to lying. Spinelli tries again to talk sense into Maxie. Matt arrives at the courthouse and as Alexis talks to him about being a character witness, Matt has a flashback.

Anna comforts Mac who is devastated by the recent events in his life and they discuss how Felicia and Frisco left their girls to be raised by Mac. Felicia then appears much to their surprise.

Luke knows that Lulu has gotten herself in over her head and tells Dante everything she told him about the case. Will Luke help Dante find Lulu?

This week Maxie's sentencing is underway. Will Matt realize he is the guilty one?

Will anyone be able to stop Patrick from falling apart? What is Kate/Connie up to and who is going to be hurt by her?

Will Jason and Sam split up?

So many questions to be answered.

In the Name of Love

Tracy attempts to get Luke to kill Anthony for her in order to end her marriage. Will Luke help her?

John shares the reason behind his vendetta against Sonny with Anna. Anna warns John to steer clear of Sam. What is this connection that John and Sam feel?

Jason tells Sam that he is disappointed in how she turned to John with their secrets. Is Sam's betrayal something that Jason can forgive?

Kate agrees to be committed but then Connie takes over and knocks out Ewen. What is Connie going to do next?

Johnny tells Anthony what happened between him and Kate/Connie and Anthony is pleased. Johnny feels terrible and wants to mend his relationship with Carly.

Carly and Sonny agree to cut Johnny and Kate out of their lives. Sonny still cannot believe that Kate meant to hurt him and is insistent that there is something else going on. Carly urged him to just walk away from it.

Ewen tries to call Sonny to tell him that Kate is going into the hospital but Sonny doesn't pick up the call.

The Pain of Betrayal

Sonny took out his anger of Kate's betrayal by burning the gifts she had bought him.

Carly had it out with Johnny and angrily told him that she was sorry she had trusted him especially after everyone warned her not to. Kate rubbed it in to Carly making her think that she and Johnny had been having an affair.

Carly left devastated and headed to Sonny's.

Johnny rejected Connie's advances and then Kate took back control. Kate was horrified to find out what Connie had done and accused Johnny of taking advantage of her. Johnny insisted that Connie would have found anyone to hurt Sonny with and then Kate left to go try and make things right with Sonny.

Carly showed up at Sonny's and the two argued about who was to blame - Johnny or Kate.

Jason turned to Elizabeth and after slipping about the DNA test, told her everything. Elizabeth assured Jason that he could love Sam's baby and advised him that he needs to talk to Sam about feeling betrayed.

Spinelli ran into Matt who was taking Cam to the movies and hinted at how he was trying to figure out the mystery of who murdered Lisa. Matt was concerned that Spinelli was still thinking it was Patrick but Spinelli is thinking that it was Matt. Spinelli believes that Matt, who was drunk that night, doesn't remember killing Lisa. Matt has no idea Spinelli now thinks he is the murderer.

Sam had another surprise encounter with John and again wondered why they keep on getting thrown together. She confessed that she has told him stuff that she should have shared with Jason. She thanked him for his support and help with the DNA test.

Olivia and Heather were both frantic about the Memphis police taking Steve into custody. Dante told them that neither one of them will be much help if they cannot calm down. Olivia got Heather to go in the other room while she pleaded with Dante to help Steve. Olivia told Dante some of the details of what Steve did and confirmed that he was involved with the black market organ scandal that he busted Johnny for. Dante told her that she shouldn't be mixed up in this mess. Heather overheard everything that Olivia confided in her son and started coming up with her own plan.

Dante agreed to immediately fly to Memphis to talk to the police. He left Lulu a voice mail and told her that he had to go out of town.

Olivia told Heather that everything was going to be okay and Heather had plans of her own.

John left and soon after Jason showed up.

Carly asked Sonny what they were going to do to get back at Kate and Johnny and then she kissed him.

What will Jason say to Sam? Can he forgive her for her "friendship" with John McBain? Will Kate really go to Sonny? Will Sonny finally recognize that something is not right with her? Will she catch Carly and Sonny in a compromising position?
Will Dante be able to do anything to help Steve?
With Steve out of town, who will keep watch over Heather and her latest plan?
Will Ewen finally catch up to Kate?
Will Spinelli get closer to figuring out who the real killer is? Will Matt consider that he could be the killer?

So much is going on this week...many lives will be changed as a result of secrets told in the past. What do you predict will happen?

Consequences

Sonny bursts into Johnny's bedroom thinking he is rescueing Kate only to find that she is there willingly. Once he figures out that Kate is there willingly he threatens to shoot both of them but instead just shoots the wall.

Carly taunts Sam and then decides to leave since Sonny's party is such a bust.

Ewen frantically tries to reach Kate by phone and then shows up at Sonny's house looking for her. Max throws him out.

John McBain gets a search warrant from the FBI to search Sonny's house.

Jason asks Sam about why she didn't tell him about speaking to John McBain again. Sam lies her way out of telling him the truth.

Michael and Jason go off to find Sonny and Kate leaving Sam with Alexis. Alexis knows something is wrong with Jason and Sam and again presses her daughter for answers.

Carly arrives at Johnny's, hears gunshots, runs into Sonny as he is leaving and rushes upstairs to find Johnny in bed with a pleased Kate.

Carly is furious to find them together.

Michael and Jason go to Sonny's only to be told by Max about McBain's visit and Dr. Keenan's arrival and search for Kate.

Jason and Michael leave to go off and find both Sonny and Kate.

It Isn't Always What It Looks Like

Alexis again pressed Sam for what is troubling her. Sam assured her that she and Jason would work through things.

Michael told Jason he would be a great dad since he had been such a good father to Michael when he knew Michael was not his biological child.

Alexis then talked to Jason and warned him that if he didn't open up to Sam she would continue to talk to strangers like John McBain. Jason was stunned to hear this news.

Connie convinced Johnny to follow through on her plan and she lured Sonny to come "rescue" her. Sonny stormed into Johnny's bedroom to find the two of them in bed together.

Luke warned Carly about her feelings for Johnny and told her that she is family and he cares about her getting hurt.

Lulu tried to tell Dante her suspicions about Ronnie but had to rush off with Olivia to go to Steve's house after she received a frantic call from Heather.

Coming:
Sonny is betrayed by Kate/Connie and teams up with Carly.
Jason confronts Sam about John McBain.
Lulu is followed by Ronnie who senses that she is on to him.
The Memphis police come to question Steve.
Olivia is frantic to save Steve but has to deal with Heather first.

The Future of GH

General Hospital will turn 50 in April of 2013 and many wonder if the soap will live to see that milestone.

Since the demise of All My Children and One Life to Live, the fate of General Hospital has been the subject of many online message boards. Soap fans don't want to see the last ABC soap go but like everything else, it is about money.

ABC's soap replacement shows are not doing well in ratings. Lesson learned for ABC execs- don't mess with soap fans. To think that a soap fan would just start watching another talk show instead of getting their daily dose of drama is ridiculous. Many of us boycotted the new shows and in return, the show that took OLTL's timeslot has been cancelled due to low ratings.

(I will not even mention the NAMES of these shows out of protest!)

As GH brings on several OLTL characters, many longtime GH fans are not happy. They want to see GH veteran characters return. That is understandable.

As a OLTL fan, I miss many of Llanview's residents and at first I found it exciting to see them interact with my favorite Port Charles residents.

Long-term will mixing these characters help or hurt GH?

Since OLTL ended, I personally feel that the storylines on GH have "sped" up and most of the time it has been refreshing. There is plenty going on and there is just the right amount of "leaving us hanging and wanting more" but there is the occasional "enough already" feelings with a few storylines.

The whole Maxi confessing to murder storyline is annoying and although the question of who really did kill Lisa is unsolved; honestly, who really cares? The character is gone and good riddance.

The whole Kate/Connie storyline is something that OLTL did often. Viki/Niki and Jess/Tess (and I am sure there were more) was classic but even the most faithful fan got tired of the whole dual personality stuff.

It is a shame that Jason couldn't wake up from yet another brain injury and "remember" who he was before he became a mob hitman. It would have given Monika and Edward a storyline. Sometimes I miss the days where the Quartermaine's were the focus and the hospital was where the action was.

Although I adore Sonny and Johnny, the mob wars is wearing thin on me.

Jason and Sam's love story has taken a turn that they may not recover from. It was predictable that Franco would turn out to be the baby daddy. Didn't we all see that coming? How do they move forward from that?

Soaps are meant to be outrageous but honestly, letting Heather Webber out? C'mon.

I am enjoying Lulu acting like a Spencer even though we all know Dante will have to save her eventually. I miss Luke being Luke.

I want some adventure, romance, secrets and surprises.

Hopefully GH will be bringing us more of what they became the best at.

Maxie's mother is set to return. Anna Devine will be staying. Heather is going to stir up some trouble which means maybe more Monika? Kristina will be coming home, angry about how she got into Yale.

Let's see more of the old-fashioned drama that got us hooked in the first place. Calm it down with the mob wars and give us some drama. The ratings will stay strong and GH will have a future.

Lulu went to Luke for advice about the stripper attacker. She confessed that perhaps she jumped the gun blaming Delores' husband for the attacks. She told him that her gut feeling after witnessing how he reacted to the arrest told her that he is innocent.

Luke, worried about his daughter's safety, advised her to let Dante handle it. Lulu also suspected that it might be Ronnie who erased the evidence pictures. Instead of meeting Dante at the party, Lulu headed to the station to do some investigative work. Ronnie caught her on Dante's computer.

Kate/Connie overheard Alexis and Sonny discussing their secret about how they got Kristina into Yale. Connie smiled having more information to use to destroy Sonny.

Dante and Ronnie went to Johnny's acting on a tip and told him that his latest business venture with the hospital has been shut down. Dante also warned him that since Sonny's acquittal the investigation was open again.

Johnny had a fit, destroyed his apartment and Carly showed up to see the mess. She attempted to calm him down and tried to talk him out of continuing the war with Sonny. She then left to go to Sonny's party.

Meanwhile Johnny called Sonny and promised to hit him where it will hurt him the most. Dante overheard Sonny talking to Johnny and wondered about what was going on.

Ewen continued calling Kate who ignored his calls. She had promised to meet him at Ferncliff, knowing full well that she did not plan to show up.

Michael and Dante went to the MetroCourt to celebrate Sonny's birthday.

Spinelli wondered if Matt is really the one who killed Lisa since he blacked out and doesn't remember that night.

Sam and Jason struggled to accept their new reality. Sam wondered how they would get through this. She asked Jason if he could accept this baby as his own. Jason replied that he was not sure.

Kate called Jason to invite him and Sam to attend the party.

After some urging from Sam, Jason decided they would go to Sonny's party. She told him that they both needed a distraction.

Alexis asked Sam again what was bothering her and Sam told her she did not want to talk about it.

Kate acted strange towards Alexis and then went off and destroyed the birthday cake for Sonny. She then showed up at Johnny's, fully dressed like Connie.

Sonny wondered where Kate went off to.

Next week: Kate/Connie promised Sonny a party he would never forget but what does she have planned?
Will Starr stay in Port Charles and what does this mean for Michael and Starr?
What plan does Johnny have to hurt Sonny?
Is Lulu in danger and will Dante save her in time?
Will Spinelli and Matt find the truth about Lisa's killer? Who did kill Lisa?
How will Sam and Jason accept the truth about the baby?
Will Carly continue to stand by Johnny even if he retaliates against Sonny?
This and more next week on General Hospital!

Coping

Jason struggled to digest the "truth" that Sam told him. He asked her why she held onto these secrets and lived alone with them, unknowing that she had shared the truth with John McBain.

Spinelli and Matt continued their investigation into Lisa's murder hoping to find the real killer. Spinelli decided that perhaps Patrick was responsible and Matt forbid him from questioning Patrick.

Epiphany tracked down Patrick, who missed his shift at the hospital. She found him at home, watching home movies of Robin and drinking. She told him that he cannot live like this and warned him that he needs to pull himself together.

Sonny confronted Michael about lying to him about Starr. He asked Michael if he doubted his innocence and Michael said no. He then invited Michael to his birthday party that Kate is throwing for him.

Starr spoke to Johnny about getting justice for Cole and Hope. Johnny told Starr about Sonny's history and told her that there was not the one who shot out the tires on Anthony's car.

Johnny then shocked Starr when he bought out her recording contract from a sleazy promoter. Starr wondered what she was getting herself into. Johnny told her that he wanted to do something for her but it was also a good business move for him.

Anna convinced John to go home and tell his family about what he is really doing in Port Charles. She made him see that not telling Natalie about his true mission is keeping secrets. Anna promised him that she would keep an eye on Sonny and if there was anything new she would call him.

Now that Jason knows the truth, will he and Sam be able to move forward and accept that their baby is really Franco and Sam's?

Will Spinelli and Matt be able to save Maxie from herself?

Will Patrick be able to find a way to move on from losing Robin?

What does Kate/Connie have planned for Sonny's big birthday bash?

What does Johnny want from Starr? Will Michael protect her?

What will Anna find out about the accident that killed Starr's family? Will she be able to talk John out of his vendetta against Sonny?

As we build towards sweeps week, many stories are escalating and there are sure to be surprises coming. Leave your comments and predictions and check back daily for what's going on in Port Charles.

May Sweeps

The first week of May is typically when television shows pull all the punches to increase their ratings. What is coming on General Hospital?

Kristina, Sonny and Alexis' daughter, is coming home. Kristina, who had left home to attend Yale, finds out how she managed to get into the exclusive school and she is mad! If you remember, Sonny pulled some strings to get Yale to accept his brilliant daughter at Alexis' urging. Kristina went off to Yale thinking that she got there on her own merits. Alexis was willing to lie to Kristina in order to get her away from her crush on Ethan (Luke's son) who has since left Port Charles.

The role of Kristina has been recast much to the unhappiness of many fans who are confused by why this recast was done.

Another face from the past will be returning as Kristina Wagner who played Felicia Scorpio-Jones will finally come home as her daughter Maxie sits in jail. The character of Felicia always annoyed me. What kind of mother leaves her children in the care of Mac Scorpio and forces him to deal with the tragedies that have befallen them? She did return when her other daughter Georgie was murdered but Maxie has had ups and downs in her life but Felicia is nowhere to be found.

Speculation exists that Jack Wagner (ex-husband of Kristina) who played Frisco Jones may be returning since he was let go of his role on Bold and the Beautiful and he was also sent home as a contestant on this season's Dancing With the Stars.

A new face is coming to Port Charles. The character of Tea Delgado from OLTL will be coming possibly to seek justice for Cole and Hope. Other OLTL characters Todd Manning, Blair Kramer, John McBain and Starr Manning are expected to become more visible on GH.

There is a lot going on in Port Charles and many storylines will be coming to a peak.

The return of Heather Webber means trouble for someone (or many) but who will be hurt (or even die) because of Heather? Edward has taken a restraining order in the attempt to protect himself against her but what about unsuspecting PC residents? Maggie has already been threatened by Steve's mother but will she tell him how dangerous she thinks Heather is? Olivia has been very vocal to Steve but does he see her as overreacting?

The storyline of the stripper attacker is finally moving along with the introduction of Delores' never-before-seen husband. Is he being set up as he claims and if so, who is setting him up? Remember Johnny's deal with Delores? Could Johnny be behind the stripper attacks?

My guess is still that the attacker is Ronnie. I just don't like this guy. He is shady and suspicious. I say watch out for him.

I see Lulu moving towards finding her "calling" by either becoming a cop or deciding to become a PI. She is a Spencer after all and adventure and danger is in her blood. Speaking of what's in your blood, what about Jason and Sam's latest discovery?

Now that Jason knows the truth about Franco, how will he and Sam move forward? How much will he blame Sam for holding back the truth? How will they both accept this baby? Will Sam ever tell her own mother the truth about what she has been living with? What about Spinelli? Will Sam and Jason tell him what Sam found out?

Anthony has secrets and one of them is holding Tracy hostage. Luke is still emotionally invested in Tracy and now since he knows that Anthony has blackmailed her into marriage, will he try and free her from this marriage from hell?

sonny may have been found not guilty but he is in danger and the source is someone he trusts. Kate is not who he thinks she is. As Connie has taken hold of Kate, how far will she go to punish Sonny and who will she use to get what she wants?

Olivia now has to deal with Steve's crazy mother, her crazy cousin and try and keep Steve safe from Johnny. Olivia is tough but she has an awful lot to handle. Heather wants her out of the way and although Olivia is on to her, will she be able to escape Heather's plan?

Will Starr return to Michael? Now that the trial is over, she admitted to Michael how lost she feels. The two have lost so much in their young lives but they also have bonded over their mutual pain.

The character of John McBain has ties to many Port Charles characters. Will he be staying in town and what trouble will he cause by doing so? Will Jason find out how much John knows about he and Sam and their baby?

Starr's father is going on trial back in Llanview for killing his own brother. (as we OLTL viewers know- Victor is ALIVE! so Todd didn't kill anyone) Starr mentioned to Michael that she could return to see her father's trial. With Tea (Victor's "widow") coming to Port Charles, what does it all mean?

What is your favorite storyline that is going on now? Do you have any predictions for the future? What storyline do you wish would just go away?

Coming Clean

Sam began the painful process of sharing the truth with Jason.

Kate tried to tell Sonny the truth but after being interrupted by Olivia and Max, Connie finally got the upper hand.

Max told Sonny about Johnny's plan for Steve.

Sonny assured Olivia that Steve needn't worry about Johnny anymore.

Michael tried to get Starr to see that maybe the real killer was still on the loose.

Carly and Johnny shared their true feelings for each other and Carly told Johnny that she believes he did not set up Sonny.

Jason had a hard time believing that Heather was telling Sam the truth until Sam told Jason that she went to see Franco's mother who confirmed everything Heather had told her.

Heather threatened Maggie and then tried to con Ewen into believing that she is well.

Maggie saw who Heather really is and felt Steve is not seeing his mother for the threat that she is.

Olivia told Steve that Johnny will not be a threat to him much longer but Steve was not happy that she was getting involved.

Connie took control and told Sonny that she wanted to throw him a birthday party that he will never forget. Kate struggled to regain control but Connie is in control now.

Starr showed up at Johnny's much to his surprise.

Coming soon: A party for Sonny promises many surprises. What will Starr say to Johnny? How will Jason react to the news of the baby's paternity and Sam's secrets?

Jason realized that the DNA test might be wrong and Sam admitted that she is actually carrying Franco's baby.

And the Father Is...

Heather almost tells Jason the truth about his birth but decides not to. She tells Steve that Jason needs to know what a hard time his mother had giving birth to him and all the stress she had worrying about how she would afford to raise him.

Steve asked her if she was holding anything else back but Heather lied and said no.

Meanwhile the jury came in and Sonny was found not guilty.

Starr reacted badly, yelling at Sonny that she knew he was responsible.

Michael comfronted Starr.

Sonny then threatened Johnny and Jason had to break them up.

Kate never got to tell Sonny what is going on with her.

Delores husband was brought in and booked on suspicion. Lulu began to have doubts about his guilt.

Ronnie seemed a bit too sure that they had the right man.

Sam opened the results with John McBain as her support. The baby is Franco's after all and Sam now knows she has to tell Jason everything.

Sonny asks Kate what she was going to tell him. Sonny knows that Jason is okay and it must be Kate who is having issues. He asks Kate directly what is going on.

Johnny and Carly discuss why Sonny did not get convicted. Carly begins to doubt that Johnny is innocent of planting the gun in Kate's office.

Jason calls Sam to tell her that Sonny is not guilty and Sam tells him that she needs to tell him something. They plan to meet at the house.

COMING: Sam comes clean with Jason who is not going to be happy about more lies. Starr decides what is next for her. Kate has to explain herself to Sonny.

Waiting

Kate began to unravel and agreed that she needs inpatient treatment. She told Ewen that she first needs to come clean with Sonny.

Sonny meanwhile confronted Michael about his relationship with Starr and suggested that she might be using him.

John tried to get Starr to accept the idea that Sonny may walk free. He tried to explain to her the difference between seeking justice and vengeance. Starr was insistent that Sonny is guilty and she would make sure that he paid.

Jason confronted Kate again which led to an outburst by Kate who realized that she can no longer handle the stress.

Alexis tried to get the truth out of Sam who insisted that she was fine and worked through what was bothering her.

Heather was angry that Steve tried to get her to speak to Ewen. Heather assumed that Sam told Steve her secret about selling Franco as a baby. She confronted Sam who insisted that she hasn't told anyone.

Olivia told Ewen that she is sure Heather is not well and begged for his help.

Heather threatened to expose Sam's secret.

Delores was outraged that Dante, Ronnie and Lulu think her husband is a suspect in the stripper attacks. She gave them permission to search her apartment. Dante and Ronnie found "proof" that makes Delores' husband look like the one who has been attacking the strippers.

Sam received a phone call that the DNA results were in. She went to the hospital and picked up the results.

Meanwhile Jason went looking for Sam and ran into Heather at Kelly's just missing Sam.

Alexis told Steve that Edward has a restraining order against Heather and warned him to keep control over his mother.

Heather saw Jason and ran after him.

As Sam pondered opening the envelope containing the DNA results, John McBain walked onto the pier where she was standing.

Today Kate tries to tell Sonny the truth about her condition as Sonny awaits the jury's decision. Sam holds the answer to who her baby's daddy is but will Jason catch her with John McBain?

Dante and Ronnie hunt down Delores' husband to question him about the attacks as Delores blames Lulu for going after her husband.

In the Hands of the Jury

Sonny's trial was pretty uneventful (if you ask me). Kate almost seemed like she was about to snap while on the stand especially when pressed about the gun.

Anthony attempted to lie and insist that he "Saw" Sonny shoot out his tires. Alexis showed that his eyesight was not as good as he claimed.

Much to Sonny's shock, Alexis called no witnesses and both sides gave their closing arguments.

Starr's emotional plea on the stand might sway the jury but ultimately, the prosecution had nothing but circumstantial evidence against Sonny. Surprisingly, John McBain was not in the courtroom (or was he? I don't recall seeing him)

Jason did show up to court and observed Kate's shaky emotional state.

Johnny and Carly cut out of the courtroom to go back to her house where she introduced him to Josslyn. What would Jax think about his daughter being exposed to another mobster?

Tracy saw Luke and Anna at Kelly's. She confessed the truth behind her marriage to Anthony and Luke thought about how he could help her out of this mess. Anthony arrived to find Tracy and Luke together and showed how he has the upper hand in their relationship. Will Luke get involved to help save Tracy?

Heather ran into Sam at the hospital. Sam seemed threatened at first by Heather especially when Heather grabbed the DNA paperwork out of Sam's hands. Heather threatened to tell Jason (and anyone else who would listen) the truth. Sam then told Heather that she would tell her precious son how Heather sold her cousin's baby. The women agreed that it would be best for both of them to remain silent.

Will Heather actually keep Sam's secret?

Kelly promised Sam that she would know who her baby's father is within 24 hours. Will Sam get the answer that she hopes for? Personally I am thinking that it is Franco's baby afterall and since it is too late to abort, what will Sam do?

With Ewen working on getting Kate committed, will Connie materialize again before he gets the paperwork?

Matt goes to see Maxie and pleads with her to tell the truth. He confesses that he loves her and just when it seems that she might give in, Spinelli literally falls into the room. Maxie then doesn't say whatever she was going to and instead tells both men to leave her alone.

Matt gets angry at Spinelli who apologizes but tells Matt that they cannot fight now, they have to figure out how to save Maxie from herself.

Next week Sam finds out who her baby daddy is. Will she then finally tell Jason the truth?
The jury will come back with a verdict. Will they find Sonny guilty?
How much longer can Kate keep Connie under wraps with so many people now knowing that she is not herself? It is only a matter of time before Spinelli or Ewen exposes the truth about Kate/Connie.
What will Sonny do about Michael's defiance?
Will Michael continue to stand by Starr?
What is Heather's plan for Luke?
How long before Steve realizes the mistake he has made by taking responsibility for Heather?

Anticipating Justice

The morning of Sonny's trial arrives and many people involved are looking for justice.

Starr is convinced of Sonny's guilt, mostly because she believes Anthony. Michael comforted Starr who felt like she wouldn't be strong enough to handle testifying.

Michael shared his belief that Starr can go on without forgetting Cole and Hope, but still live in spite of her loss. Michael assured Starr that she is strong enough and told her that not many people would have had the courage to confront Anthony the way she did.

Kate struggled to keep Connie in control as she and Sonny prepared to leave for the trial. She spoke to Ewen who warned her that going to the trial would be a huge mistake. He urged her to tell Sonny the truth about her condition.

Elizabeth and Ewen talked about Matt and Spinelli's quest to find Maxie innocent. Elizabeth apologized for their amateur sleuthing and they laughed about their suspicion of Ewen.

Spinelli told Jason what he found out about Kate's mental condition. Jason wondered if he should tell Sonny but decided that without proof Sonny wouldn't believe him. Spinelli set off to do what he does, hack into the doctor's records. Jason then decided to meet up with Sam, who told him she had a routine doctor's appointment.

John McBain warned Sonny that he would be watching to make sure that Sonny doesn't get away with murder again.

John met Sam at the hospital and gave her the DNA sample for testing. Elizabeth saw Sam talking to John and when Jason arrived to accompany Sam to her doctor's appointment, Elizabeth innocently told him Sam was talking to "some guy".

Steve told Maggie that his mother was in town and told her about her history. Maggie questioned why Steve would give her a second chance and he told her that he was a murderer and felt he couldn't judge his mother.

Ewen continued to work at getting Kate/Connie committed as Spinelli managed to hack into his records and find out what Kate's medical condition is.

Sonny and Kate arrive at the courthouse to witness Michael and Starr in an embrace. What will Sonny think of Michael's defiance?

Sonny's trial promises to be full of fireworks as Anthony, Starr and Kate testify. In coming scenes, Connie comes through on the stand. Will Kate be able to control Connie or will Connie help prove Sonny's innocence?

Haunted Pasts

Luke was shocked to find Heather at his door as Steve and Olivia scrambled to figure out where she disappeared to. Heather was not happy to find Anna living with Luke and both Luke and Anna wondered how it was that the doctors saw fit to release her.

Luke tried to explain to Anna just how dangerous Heather is.

Ewen worked on getting Kate/Connie committed as Matt and Spinelli eyed him as a new suspect in Lisa's murder.

Carly and Kate/Connie argued loudly at the MetroCourt restaurant and Kate struggled to keep Connie at bay.

Spinelli found out that Ewen was working on getting Kate committed and called Jason to tell him that his instincts were right about her.

Matt and Spinelli discovered that Ewen was not a suspect and Matt apologized to Ewen but explained that Maxie was trying to punish herself for something he knows she didn't do.

Steve apologized to Luke after finding Heather at his place and warned his mother that she needed to behave.

Heather secretly planned to deal with Anna and Luke in the future.

While Sonny slept, Connie called Johnny and propositioned him again. Johnny refused her again.

Coming tomorrow: Sonny's trial begins as Kate begins to unravel. Carly still has no idea that Kate/Connie came on to Johnny.

She's Baaaack!!!

Olivia arrives at Steve's apartment only to be harrassed by Heather. Steve introduces his mother to his girlfriend and after an uncomfortable encounter, Heather disappears into the kitchen and then takes off.

Olivia told Steve that Heather is crazy but Steve is also losing his mind to have allowed her to move in with him.

Michael plans to have dinner with Starr but then is called away by an urgent call from Carly. He sees Sonny who again asks him to stay clear of Starr. Michael lies to him but does reassure Sonny that he believes in his innocence.

Carly and Johnny tell Michael about their relationship and Michael angrily accuses his mother of making bad choices. He storms off and heads back home.

While Michael is gone, Starr goes to the Quartermaine's to speak with Anthony. She tells him that if he doesn't testify against Sonny, she will tell the DA what he knows.

Tracey is upset when no one acknowledges her birthday. Luke shows up and presents Tracey with a horse!

Kate insists that Ewen "fix" what is wrong with her and he tells her that the only way to get control over Connie is to check in as an inpatient. Kate refuses and leaves his office to go meet Sonny.

Ewen calls to attempt to have Kate committed because he believes that "Connie" is a danger to herself and others.

John and Anna brainstorm about what Kate's motives could possibly be to lie about the gun. Anna and John agree that it makes no sense for Kate to set Sonny up.

Jason asks Sam if she found the answers she was looking for and Sam avoids telling Jason the truth. He tells her to let the whole Franco thing go so they can focus on the coming baby. Sam agrees but Jason can tell she is hiding something.

Jason tells Sam about what happened with Kate and how Sonny chose to believe Kate over Jason. Sam got angry that Sonny doesn't recognize Jason's loyalty to him. Jason told Sam that no man wants to believe his woman is lying to him.

The Truth Always Comes Out

Sonny refused to believe that something could be wrong with Kate as Jason tried to explain. Jason insisted that he did not accuse or disrespect Kate and tried to warn Sonny that there is something wrong with Kate and he needed to be aware.

Ewen and Elizabeth's lunch date was interrupted by Connie who barged in much to Elizabeth's surprise. Elizabeth made a hasty departure but privately asked Ewen if Kate was drunk. Ewen told her only that she was not "herself" and apologized for Kate/Connie's behavior. Meanwhile Connie texted Sonny in an attempt to have him "catch" Kate with another man.

Back at the hospital, Elizabeth was confronted by Spinelli and Matt who have decided to join forces to find the real killer of Lisa Niles. Elizabeth told them that it was Ewen who rescued her after Lisa had thrown her overboard. Spinelli and Matt both felt that there was now a new suspect and wondered why Ewen hadn't come forward before to admit that he had saved Elizabeth.

After hearing Sam's confession about what Franco had done to her, John offered to help. He told her that since he had FBI connections and the bureau was investigating Franco there were DNA samples that could be used for a paternity test. John repeatedly urged Sam to be truthful with Jason about what she found out. John told her that Natalie (his baby's mother) said she was trying to protect him by not telling him the truth and he believes Jason needs to know now, not later.

Alexis tried in vain to get Maxie to tell her the truth. She reminded her that if she didn't come clean soon, no one would be able to overturn what she had confessed to. She reminded Maxie that the truth always comes out.

Alexis returned home to find John and Sam. Sam left and John presented Alexis with the proof that the restraining order against him was lifted. Alexis was frustrated over her wasted day.

Connie came on to Ewen who was finally able to force Kate out. Kate was horrified that she could not remember even coming to the MetroCourt restaurant. Kate agreed to go to the hospital with Ewen to try and get control over what is happening to her.

Sonny arrived at the restaurant only to find that Kate had left with a "man".

Sam went home and Jason asked her if she found the answers she was looking for.

Next week:
Will Sam tell Jason or will she wait for DNA results before she shares what she has learned? Meanwhile, will Jason find out about her talk with John McBain?
Will Maxie come to her senses and admit the truth?
What will Matt and Spinelli discover?
As Heather Webber returns to life in Port Charles, what will the reactions of others be to Steve giving her a second chance?

Coming soon: Maxie's mother Felicia arrives.

Secrets

Elizabeth and Ewen finally had their date. They had dinner at the metrocourt and somehow got to talking about Jax. Elizabeth noticed how Ewen seemed to know an awful lot about Jax and his family, even though he claimed to only know what he has read in the papers. Elizabeth seemed intrigued that there is more to Ewen than meets the eye but what secrets is he hiding?

Jason told Spinelli about his weird altercation with Kate. Jason noticed that it was only when he brought up the gun that Kate became strangely defensive. He told Spinelli it's as if Kate doesn't want to help prove Sonny's innocence. Spinelli suggested that maybe Kate is just stressed and said he has seen her yell for the littlest thing and abuse those around her. Spinelli has not seen Kate as Connie though. Jason offered to help Spinelli clear Maxie but he told him that Sonny needs to be his priority right now and ran off to get the one person he felt could help him.

Spinelli went to see Matt to call a truce and he told Matt that the two of them need to work together to free Maxie.

Patrick returned to work at the hospital but found too many reminders of Robin and decided he needed more time alone at home with Emma. Running into Robin's patients and not being able to tell them about her death made him realize that he needed more time away.

Lulu suggested to Dante that she go undercover and audition at the strip club in order to help investigate the case of who is attacking the strippers. Dante told her no way could she do that and forbid from being so involved. Lulu argued that she wanted to work together with him but Dante insisted that she not be any more involved than she is now. Lulu is a Spencer and going undercover is in her blood. I am sure Lulu is going to do what she wants. My guess on who the real attacker is? None other than Ronnie the cop. Although Delores' husband seems like a good suspect, I think Ronnie has issues and it would not surprise me to find out he is the one behind the attacks.

Kate told Sonny that Jason harrassed her about the gun and Sonny promised her that he would speak to Jason about it. Kate struggled to keep Connie under control and Sonny was blind to even see that Kate was again acting "off". She told Sonny not to be angry with Jason and suggested that maybe Jason is not yet recovered from his surgery. When Sonny left, Connie was proud of how she handled Sonny and then she ran into Ewen who recognized that Connie was in charge.

Sam confessed all she was holding inside to John. Personally I found it crazy that she told John about the rape, Franco's connection to Jason and all the details of her life when she hasn't even told her own mother. John had heard of Franco and knew many of the details of his obsession with Jason and also that Franco was a serial killer. John urged Sam to be truthful with Jason telling her that he could handle the truth and he deserves to know it.

Now that Sam has told John all these intimate details of her life, can he really be trusted not to use them against Jason in his vendetta against Sonny?

Sonny went to Jason and asked him if he was feeling okay, thinking that maybe he had been too hard on Kate. Jason assured him that he is just fine since his surgery.

Will Sonny believe Jason when he tells him what really went on with Kate? Why can't Sonny see that Kate is losing it?

Who will catch John and Sam together? When will Sam tell Jason the truth?

Things are picking up now and many storylines will be coming together. Don't miss a day and if you do, bookmark this blog to get your updates!

Second Chances

Heather called Steve who reluctantly went to see her. She explained to him that Sam had come to see her and she had asked Sam to give him a letter which she left behind.

She asked Steve to read the letter outloud in her presence because she wanted to see his reaction. The letter (meant to tear at his heartstrings) asked for his forgiveness and to give her a second chance at life.

Steve who was thinking about his "crime" agreed to become Heather's sponsor and help her get out of Ferncliff.

Jason went to see Kate in order to figure out what happened the night of the accident and how the gun showed up in Kate's office. Kate slipped into Connie mode and Jason stood by obviously aware that something is not right.

Sam came home looking to speak to Jason who wasn't around and instead found Spinelli. She was about to confide in him but he was focused on figuring out the Lisa Nile's murder and was in a rush to go get the police report. Sam never got to speak to him.

Sam then went to see Alexis and was about to tell her everything and Alexis got called to court.

John McBain and Anna discussed the restraining order Sonny got against him and Anna came through with some information to help John. She agreed to speak to Olivia about her cousin Kate who John feels knows more than she is admitting.

John then wound up at Alexis' only to find Sam there.

Another stripper was attacked and Shawn accused Dante of not doing enough to find out who is doing these attacks. Meanwhile Delores admitted that her husband didn't come home the previous night, saying that he was working.

Lulu and Dante discussed the fact that he could have done the attack but Dante held back on bringing him in for questioning. Dante still senses that he is not the attacker.

Sam was ready to breakdown, upset over what Heather told her and John pushed her to let him help her. He argued that she needed to talk to someone, why not talk to him?

Coming today: Heather prepares for her second chance but will Steve regret his decision? Now that Jason sees that Kate is disturbed, will he be able to convince Sonny that Kate is seriously not "herself"?

As Sam struggles with the truth about Jason and Franco, will she tell him or keep another lie from him? What will this do to her pregnancy?

The Reason for Franco's Obsession

Olivia begged Sonny to get Johnny to lay off Steve but refused to tell Sonny what Johnny was holding over her head. Olivia warned Sonny that Johnny was becoming out of control and Sonny needs to put an end to it.

Kate had another session with Ewen and allowed him to hypnotize her again. Ewen again tried to get the truth from Connie about the gun found in her office but failed. Connie propositioned Steve who didn't recognize that Kate was not "herself". Steve later told Olivia about his weird moment with Kate.

Luke warned Carly about her involvement with Johnny.

Starr overheard Jason telling Michael not to be involved with Starr and then Sonny arrived at Michael's. Starr listened while Sonny asked Michael if he stood behind him. Michael said that of course he stood behind his father but he had also promised Starr that he wants the truth also.

Anna agreed to help John McBain find out the truth about Sonny's involvement in the accident but made him promise to follow the case even if it proved Sonny was not guilty.

Luke arrived and met John McBain. Anna told Luke that they were old friends but Luke wondered why John was there.

Sam listened in horror as Heather Webber told the story of Jason's birth. She explained that after Jason was born, Susan passed out and delivered a surprise second baby. She told Sam that she sold the baby to the nurse who helped deliver the baby. The nurse was Becky Frank- Franco's mother.

Sam ran from the room shocked at Heather's revelation and realized that the baby she is carrying could be Franco's.

Knowing that Heather Webber is not in her right mind, will Sam believe what Heather told her or will she dismiss it as the ramblings of an insane woman? Will she tell Jason what she found out or will she decide to hold the truth from him?

How will Sonny stop Johnny?

Starr seems more convinced than ever of Sonny's guilt and wants to see him pay. Is Starr right?

Will Kate finally be able to find out what Connie is hiding?

Heather Webber is determined to be free again and will stop at nothing to get her son's attention. What will happen should Heather be free again?

All this and more in the next few days...

I hear that Maxie's mom Felicia is coming to Port Charles. Hmmm. It is about time that she takes an interest in her daughter. What will her coming to town mean to Mac and to Maxie? Will she help Maxie to admit the truth?

Patrick tries to move forward after Robin's death but will he be able to deal with going on without Robin?

Personally I cannot wait for the Kate/Connie storyline to end but I imagine Sonny is going to have to sweat it out by going through a trial before the truth comes out. Maybe a dramatic courtroom moment will occur when Kate realizes that it was she (as Connie) who caused the accident that killed Starr's family?

Although I hate to see John McBain leave Port Charles, what other reason is there for him to stay? His vendetta against Sonny is a long-held one but he has no power in Port Charles.

The tease of having characters from OLTL was a fun idea but honestly, aside from Starr they don't seem to fit into the already overcrowded storylines that are happening right now.

Agree or disagree? What do you hope to see happen in the near future?

Misplaced Guilt

Starr spends the night at Michael's and then shares some of her story of her and Cole. Michael sympathizes with Starr, seeing parallels to his own past and losing Abbey.

John McBain goes to see Anna Devine who it turns out was a mentor of his when he was a young FBI agent. He asks Anna for his help in bringing down Sonny and Anna wisely sees that John has unfinished business with Sonny and tells him he might not be impartial enough to see the truth.

John tells Anna that Sonny killed his sister.

Maxie's arrignment day arrives and Patrick tells her that he does not blame her for Robin's death. Although Alexis advises Maxie to allow her to handle the plea, Maxie pleads guilty to murder.

Sam meets with Heather Webber who agrees to tell Sam what she wants to know if she will contact her son Steve for her. Sam knows that Heather has information about why Franco was so obsessed with Jason. She shows Heather the baby pictures of Jason from the dvd and Heather tells her that the baby is not Jason.

Steve comes clean with Olivia and tells him the sordid story of his own birth and his mother's crimes. Olivia is shocked but praises Steve for handling his past so well. Steve wonders if he should have been in contact with his mother and thinks maybe he could have prevented some of her crimes. Olivia tells him that it isn't his job to take care of his mother, she should have taken care of him.

Spinelli goes to Jason for advice on how to help Maxie. Jason tells Spinelli that he feels guilt over Robin's death also. Spinelli decides to save Maxie he will need to find the real killer of Lisa Niles. Jason decides that in order to free Sonny he needs to do the same and find who is really responsible for shooting out Anthony's tires and causing the accident.

Jason goes to see Michael.

Coming soon: Sonny's trial begins. Will Jason be able to prove that Sonny is innocent?
What consequences will Maxie's confession have on her future? Can anyone help her?
What is Sam getting herself into by making deals with Heather Webber?
Will Steve go see his mother and what will she tell him?
What is the secret that Heather knows about Jason's birth?
Will Anna help John bring Sonny down?
What will Jason think about Starr being at Michael's apartment?
Who WAS John's sister and is Sonny really responsible for her death?
