Anticipating Justice

The morning of Sonny's trial arrives and many people involved are looking for justice.

Starr is convinced of Sonny's guilt, mostly because she believes Anthony. Michael comforted Starr who felt like she wouldn't be strong enough to handle testifying.

Michael shared his belief that Starr can go on without forgetting Cole and Hope, but still live in spite of her loss. Michael assured Starr that she is strong enough and told her that not many people would have had the courage to confront Anthony the way she did.

Kate struggled to keep Connie in control as she and Sonny prepared to leave for the trial. She spoke to Ewen who warned her that going to the trial would be a huge mistake. He urged her to tell Sonny the truth about her condition.

Elizabeth and Ewen talked about Matt and Spinelli's quest to find Maxie innocent. Elizabeth apologized for their amateur sleuthing and they laughed about their suspicion of Ewen.

Spinelli told Jason what he found out about Kate's mental condition. Jason wondered if he should tell Sonny but decided that without proof Sonny wouldn't believe him. Spinelli set off to do what he does, hack into the doctor's records. Jason then decided to meet up with Sam, who told him she had a routine doctor's appointment.

John McBain warned Sonny that he would be watching to make sure that Sonny doesn't get away with murder again.

John met Sam at the hospital and gave her the DNA sample for testing. Elizabeth saw Sam talking to John and when Jason arrived to accompany Sam to her doctor's appointment, Elizabeth innocently told him Sam was talking to "some guy".

Steve told Maggie that his mother was in town and told her about her history. Maggie questioned why Steve would give her a second chance and he told her that he was a murderer and felt he couldn't judge his mother.

Ewen continued to work at getting Kate/Connie committed as Spinelli managed to hack into his records and find out what Kate's medical condition is.

Sonny and Kate arrive at the courthouse to witness Michael and Starr in an embrace. What will Sonny think of Michael's defiance?

Sonny's trial promises to be full of fireworks as Anthony, Starr and Kate testify. In coming scenes, Connie comes through on the stand. Will Kate be able to control Connie or will Connie help prove Sonny's innocence?
