The Return of Laura

Tracy is annoyed by an unexpected guest at her engagement party.

Laura begs Luke for a few moments alone.

Ava, masquerading as Denise goes to see AJ and Michael buys her story of being Ava's twin.

Morgan and Kiki find Denise gone and Kiki goes looking for her.

Silus listens to Nina's story of how Franco betrayed her and feels guilty about her being blamed for Avery's kidnapping.

Kiki shows up at the Floating Rib and questions why her father is having drinks with Nina.

Silus tells her he doesn't know where Denise is after admitting that he did go to meet her.

Everyone wonders why Laura showed up at the party and after she and Luke return, he asks everyone to leave and apologizes to Tracy.

Luke drops a bombshell and tells Tracy that their engagement is off.

Denise hands the baby over to Michael who later tells Sabrina that he felt sorry for the woman.

Ava returns to Julians overwhelmed by seeing her daughter.

Morgan comforts Denise and then the two kiss passionately.

Ava's emotions cause her to blurt out how she has missed Morgan and he realizes that Denise is really Ava.

What did Laura tell Luke that caused him to break his engagement? Will Silus' guilt cause him to out Ava? Will Morgan keep Ava's secret?

Toasting Luke and Tracy

Luke's spur-of-the-moment engagement party on the Haunted Star brings together family and friends.

Lulu is taken aback by Valerie's announcement that she will be working with Dante.

Nathan backs out of Franco's plan to get Nina to annul her marriage to Rick.

Silus recounts to Denise how he cured Ava of her cancer and she finally admits that she is Ava.

Dante senses trouble when Lulu introduces him to Dylan unaware that he was back in town.

Ava tries to explain to Silus that creating a new identity was the only way she could be a part of her daughters' lives.

Silus is angry by Ava's choices and feels she takes him for granted.

Nina is angry with Nathan for going along with Franco and winds up at the Floating Rib where she bumps into Silus.

Luke makes a heartfelt apology to his party guests and as he is making a toast to his beloved Tracy, Laura enters the room.

Lucky is Returning!

Jonathan Jackson will be returning as "Lucky" this summer as a part of the story that sends off Luke Spencer. Also returning will be Luke's other son (with Holly) Nathan Parsons will return to his role as "Ethan".

Not quite sure how they will be sending off Luke Spencer but with the characters of Laura, Holly, Lucky and Ethan returning it should be interesting.

On yesterday's show, Tracy declined Luke's marriage proposal but did agree to a 30 day engagement period where Luke promised to prove to her that he is indeed a "changed" man.

Tracy's son Dylan returned and make his mother question her trust in him much to Luke's disappointment. Before Dylan showed up would Tracy have trusted Luke enough to jump into yet another marriage with him?

How will Lucky's return play into Elizabeth's current story where she is keeping the truth from everyone about Jason? Lucky has been an absentee father to their son for a long time now. Will Elizabeth call Lucky out on that?

The send-off of Luke is supposed to happen fast (a refreshing promise to viewers who have been disgusted by drawn-out stories) and hopefully it will do justice to who Luke is and not to who Luke has become.

Anna Devane will be leaving for a few months but will return.

Seems to me that there will be some shake-ups coming as Sloan promises to bring down the mayor and reveal Nikolas' role in fixing the mayoral race.

The future of ELQ looks bleak with Nikolas now holding the shares he needs to takeover the company.

Michael and Morgan call a truce which might turn Michael back into a more likable character instead of the screaming irrational man he has become.

So after what we thought was an assisted suicide, Ava really is alive? Does Denise not remember or is she just playing with Silus?

How will she escape going back to prison?

Jordan is now the new police commissioner and Lulu has to deal with her cousin Valerie working with Dante.

With Dylan back in town will Lulu be tempted to rekindle that old relationship?

Looks like trouble in the Falconari marriage. Speaking of trouble, how will Olivia deal with living with her lie about her baby?

The Return of Luke

The past couple of days (heck- WEEKS) of GH have been quite disappointing. I don't think too many fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to find out the real story behind Ava's look-alike or why Rick is so desperate for money that he married crazy Nina.

Today we saw the return of Luke. As many fans know, Anthony Geary has chosen to retire from his role as Luke Spencer and this decision has caused the writers to wrap up a story and create a pretty hasty exit for this long-loved but almost-destroyed-by-bad-storylines character.

Word is that Laura is coming back and also Holly will be returning to take part in what is being called "Luke's final adventure". Here's to hoping that the writers will do the characters some justice and send off Luke leaving the fans happy with the end.

Meanwhile Anna has too much to drink and gets busy with Sloan. (the uncharacteristic act of killing Carlos has the formerly fiercely dedicated crime fighter feeling like a hypocrite)

Delia shows up at the police station just in time for the reveal of Denise' DNA results and tells everyone that Ava had a twin. Sonny has a hard time believing this but everyone else seems to accept Delia's revelation as truth.

(We SAW Silus administer medication to put Ava out of her cancer misery and silently go on without telling anyone- did this really happen and what will Silus do when he hears about her twin that could have saved her life?)

and in more ridiculousness...Rick goes to see Madeline who hired him to get Nina's money and spills that he married her daughter which she angrily reminds him was NOT a part of the plan. She then turns the tables on him and threatens him if he doesn't get her out of jail as promised.

Nathan tries to get Nina to see that marrying Rick was not a good idea but she blames his actions on Franco and further opens herself up for more trouble when Rosalie asks to meet her and she agrees.

Nikolas orders Rosalie to turn the tables on Michael by getting Nina to hand over the ELQ shares in his attempt to gain control of ELQ. WHY does Nikolas Cassadine even NEED ELQ??? Again another ridiculous story!

Morgan and Kiki are back together - but do we care? The re-cast of Kiki is annoying and who really cares about this character?

Julian has promised his family that he is out of the business for good and although he tells this to Sonny, Sonny still wants to find Duke's killer and will hold Julian accountable.

Word is out that Jake is an innocent man but still is a man with no memory. Nikolas and Elizabeth know the truth and Hayden who also knows that Jake is Jason is in a coma after Nikolas' hitman doesn't do a good job of silencing her.

Hayden is going to come out of her coma but will she tell what she knows or will she die without sharing the truth?

Sloan shares more than just a bed with Anna when he tells her all about the mayoral race and how Nikolas was behind fixing it. Anna is stunned by this news but not surprised because he is a Cassadine after all.

With Laura coming back to town will Nikolas continue to visit his darker side or will the presence of his mother cause him to come clean?

GH lately has been a show that many long-time fans don't recognize. Yes you might recognize their faces but their actions are so out of character. What do you hope will happen in the near future? How do you feel about Luke's exit?

Catching Up After May Sweeps

I don't know about you but May sweeps were a disappointment to this long-time GH viewer. Again we were teased that Jake's identity would be revealed but it was only revealed to a pathetic Elizabeth who then decided to keep it to herself.

I guess Elizabeth cannot see how her keeping Jason's true identity a secret will someday backfire on her.

Hayden was about to (possibly) reveal the truth to Jake and Sam but was hit by a bullet that everyone thinks was meant for Jake but the shooter was a hitman hired by Nicolas who needed to silence her.

Carly continued to show her support and friendship to Jake even though Sonny was not happy at all.

In a strange twist of events, Nina and Rick (of all people) married after meeting in a bar. Don't quite get the point of this hook-up but we will see.

A mysterious woman who resembles Ava comes to town and is promptly arrested. Another disappointment was Ava's death assisted by Silas who has not been around much. Also missing is baby Avery who was found in Silas and Kiki's apartment and returned to Michael?

Olivia gave birth to Julian's son and then she and Ned with the help of Dr. Obrecht managed to sneak the premature baby out of town while everyone mourned the baby's "death".

Shawn got arrested for shooting Hayden and it was (finally) revealed that Jordan is an undercover cop much to Shawn and TJ's disgust and anger. When Shawn told Jordan he wouldn't turn on Sonny, Jordan confessed that TJ is really his son. Shawn (like the rest of us) has a hard time believing that "truth" after all the lies she has told.

General Hospital has been having some trouble finishing storylines in a timely manner and instead drags on with stories that don't hold our interest. Then things are quickly wrapped up without us seeing it happen.

The death of Duke was a devastating loss and Anna's actions afterwards were so out of character. After all the torture and pain Faison caused Anna and her loved ones for years she didn't shoot him but she put Carlos full of holes for shooting Duke even though it was Julian who was behind the hit.

The writers are slowly killing characters like Anna by making them behave in uncharacteristic manners. I will miss Duke even though in his last visit to Port Charles the writers barely touched on why we loved Duke Lavery.

During May sweeps it was announced that Anthony Geary is leaving the role of Luke Spencer. I am sad to see Luke go but the way the writing has been on GH he probably made the right choice. Right now Luke is off after the "big reveal" that it was he who accidentally killed his mother and purposely killed his father. It was a powerful episode that was recently repeated on Memorial Day but the story pretty much set Luke up for a permanent exit.

Too bad. I love the pairing of Tracy and Luke and it feels like she won't ever have another sparring partner like him. Word is that Genie Francis will be returning as Laura and unless they write her a good story it will be a waste of another old character.

Fans want to see Jason remember who he is and maybe have a reunion with his wife and his son that he doesn't even know is his. Of course it will be complicated now that Sam has moved on with Patrick but hey, soaps need drama, right?

The darkness of Nicolas is welcome. He is a Cassadine after all and it is nice to see him explore the dark side. GH needs to bring Lucky back. Jonathan Jackson has moved on with his career and that is great but certainly they can find someone who can play Lucky Spencer.

Fans have accepted the re-casts of many popular characters like Lulu and Jason why not Lucky?

Who Took Baby Avery?

Lulu is devastated when she finds out that Luke will be sent to jail after he is well enough to leave the hospital.

Kiki and Morgan prepare to bring baby Avery home but then find she has been kidnapped from the hospital.

Franco receives a visit from Scott who warns him about getting close to Nina.

Nina returns and Franco grills her about where she has been.

Nathan goes to see Maxie to tell her he wants another shot at their relationship but she tells him she and Spinelli are back together.

Spinelli asks Maxie if she is sorry about her choice.

Dante assures Valerie that Lulu will understand her anger against Luke and support her.

Morgan calls Dante for help in finding their sister and Dante leaves Rocko with Valerie.

Lulu returns home outraged that Valerie is alone with her baby.

Sabrina asks Felix to test the drug Michael was taking suspicious that perhaps the wrong medication was taken.

Sabrina wonders where Michael went and when he returns she is about to question him and then finds out baby AJ was kidnapped.

Dante arrives to question Michael after Morgan tells him what happened.

Nathan goes to find Nina and see what she knows about the baby.

Luke wrestles with his demons.

Morgan and Kiki's Plan Goes Viral

Carly begs Sonny to stand by Michael after she learns about his meltdown.

Morgan tells Sonny that Michael's actions should help him to regain custody.

Sonny feels compelled to call CPS about baby AJ and they step in and go to take the baby from Michael's care.

Sabrina and Michael are puzzled by what caused him to appear so drunk after only having two drinks.

Kiki goes to Julian about custody and finds him with Alexis.

Ava is despondent about not being able to go to her baby and asks Silus to help her end her life.

Olivia confesses to Ned that Franco and Nina are blackmailing her and he promises to put an end to it.

Nina gets upset with Franco for laughing at the coverage of the baby getting dumped from her stroller and he questions her sanity.

Franco gets a visit from Ned.

Michael's Meltdown

Michael's rage causes him to accidentally knock baby AJ out of her stroller while a tabloid reporter is video-taping the entire rant.

Sonny is concerned over Michael's behavior and Olivia makes sure that Michael is not driving when he leaves.

Although Avery was not hurt, Kiki is still upset by how far she and Morgan went.

Olivia and Sonny question what Morgan and Kiki know about what caused Michael's drinking.

Hayden and Nikolas wind up in bed together after she refuses to tell him who put her up to her scheme with Jake.

Valerie threatens Luke's life and Dante talks her out of killing him.

Elizabeth demands honesty from Ric who continues to lie but is thrilled when she gives in and agrees to give their relationship another try.

Lulu tells her father that he needs to fight to get himself back and believes that he can do it.

Dante and Lulu tell Valerie that they will help her get through her grief.

Michael tells Sabrina that he is worried about Sonny using his behavior against him.

Carly tells Jake that she is having Spinelli investigate his "wife" because she doesn't believe she is telling the truth.

Jake refuses to share what he knows about the Jeromes operation with Carly.

Sonny and Olivia worry about Michael's behavior.

Luke is depressed over learning that Patricia died and realizes all the damage his break with reality caused.

Lulu and Tracy continue to stand by Luke and Lulu listens as he chronicles his descend into the Luke that no one knew.

Valerie seeks revenge against Luke for causing her mother's death and Dante tries to comfort her.

Elizabeth bends a bit towards Ric who pushes forward.

Hayden is confronted by Nikolas and learns that he knows Jake's true identity.

Kiki and Morgan's plan to make Michael look bad in public is a success when he drinks too much and causes public spectacle.

Sabrina is stopped by Sonny when she is leaving with baby Avery and Michael sees them and has a loud response.

Jake passes on info to Sloan after hearing Carlos and Julian talk.

Patrick is disturbed that Jake is still in Sam's life.

Jake has dreams of Sam.

Luke's loved ones assure him that he was just protecting his family and didn't mean to kill his mother.

Lulu, Dante and Valerie rush to the old Spencer house and Dante arrests Luke.

Carly tells Lucas about her doubts regarding Jake's new wife.

Carly and Lucas get a call from Bobbie and join the family.

Hayden panics over Jake's refusal to leave town and asks Rick for help.

Sam catches Rick on a call with Hayden and questions what he is up to.

Patrick tells Elizabeth about his plans with Sam and she fills him in on Jake's new life.

Jake has vivid dreams of Sam and Hayden tells him that he his memory is messed up and he cannot trust his dreams.

Hayden tries to get closer to Jake but he turns her down because he doesn't remember her.

After Luke is taken away, Patricia collapses and dies.

Luke Remembers

Yesterday General Hospital outdid itself on it's 52nd anniversary show by finally revealing the trauma that was causing Luke to act the way he was. In an episode done in mostly black & white, Patricia Spencer and Luke and Bobbie remembered that night 52 years ago when their beloved mother died.

Patricia remembered how an ugly argument with their drunken father escalated and Luke accidentally hit his mother with a baseball bat knocking her unconscious. Patricia took her mother to General Hospital where we saw what happened that night.

Current actors played the roles of Dr. Steve Hardy, Dr. Phil Brewer and Nurse Jessie. Laura Wright (Carly) did a wonderful job of portraying the battered mother of Luke, Bobbie and Patricia. Tony Geary more than earned his Emmy nomination by portrayed his drunken father.

A young Bill Eckert was called to the hospital to help support a shocked Patricia after her mother died from brain swelling and accompanied her back to the Spencer home to rescue Luke and Bobbie from their father. Patricia and Bill walked in to find Luke crouched in shock as his father lay dead.

Luke had buried the truth of what really happened that night and only remembered when he returned to the Spencer home.

Lucas received a phone call telling him that a man was seen entering the condemned property and tipped off his mom who along with Patricia, Tracy and Lulu rushed to find Luke at the house.

The women helped Luke to remember what happened that night as Luke broke down horrified by remembering what he had done. He also remembered Bill Eckert's dying words to him that he needed to forgive himself for accidentally killing his mother.

It was a powerful episode but as those in the NY Tri-state area were disgusted (to put it mildly) when the news station cut off the last two minutes of the program. We were later able to view it but it did ruin the momentum of the episode.

Jordan in Danger

Jordan walks into Anna's room unaware that Sloan is waiting with her.

When Jordan is exposed to Sloan she is forced to tell him about her investigation.

Carly gives Jake a hard time about starting his life with his alleged wife telling him that she needs his friendship.

Sloan has words with Jake who tries to tell him about learning about his wife but Sloan doesn't want to hear about it.

Nina and Franco threaten to tell Julian what they know and Olivia gives in to their demands.

Lulu leaves Dante with an injured Valerie and takes off in search of her father.

Luke has Patricia tied up and gagged much to the shock of Bobbie and Tracy who try to break through to the Luke they know.

Lulu busts into Patricia's room and is held at gunpoint with her family.

Anna tries to figure out how to keep Jordan safe.

Duke shares with one of his bodyguards why he is not telling Sonny that Jordan was wearing a wire and tells him what he plans to do about it.

Dante Catches on to Luke

Jordan is wired by Anna to catch Duke.

Lulu tells Dante about meeting her cousin Valerie but then they head back to see her on a hunch.

Franco and Nina have their day in court and much to their surprise (and everyone else) they wind up free.

Nina decides to start her new life with Franco instead of rooming with her brother Nathan.

Franco has a plan to live at the Metro Court thanks to Olivia's confession while he was suffering the affects of LSD.

Julian tells Olivia that he is convinced that the baby is not his much to Olivia's delight.

Jordan meets with Duke who tells her the hit is off.

Shawn asks Sonny for details of the test Duke is putting Jordan through but Sonny remains quiet about it.

Tracy fills in Bobbie about meeting Valerie and Bobbie discovers the grave location is actually a nursing home and the two head off in search of Patricia.

Lulu and Dante find an unconscious Valerie who tells them what Luke put her through.

Lulu and Dante head to find Patricia before Luke does.

Sloan arrives at Anna's with a search warrant as she is monitoring Jordan's talk with Duke.

Sloan reveals he knows Jordan is the informant as she bursts in anxious that Anna has heard what Duke said.

Franco demands all the best the Metro Court can offer for him and Nina and tells Olivia that she will do what he wants or he will tell Julian the truth.

Olivia is stunned.

Tracy and Bobbie enter Patricia's room only to find Luke with a gun pointed at them.

Nina and Franco Go to Court

Sam remembers something strange that Jake said to her about her wedding ring.

Carly goes to Elizabeth's and finds out about Jake's wife.

Carly doesn't buy Hayden's story and drags Elizabeth to the MetroCourt to find out more.

Hayden has plenty of proof for Jake thanks to Rick's plan.

Rick tells TJ and Molly that online dating didn't work out for him as the woman he met was married.

Maxie tells off Spinelli after he seems to gloat about her and Nathan.

Nathan accompanies Nina to court but is called away before her hearing.

Nina admits to Franco that she told Alexis the truth and then Franco confesses he told his father the truth as well.

Alexis tells the judge that Nina was faking her illness at her last court appearance and Nina worries about her defense.

The guy Rick paid to pose in pictures with Hayden confronts him at Kelly's and Rick realizes that there is a snag in his plan.

Patrick waits for an answer from Sam but she is distracted by coming across her wedding ring and thoughts about Jake and Jason.

Rick's Plan for Jake

Rick's plan to get Elizabeth back is put in force when a woman named Hayden shows up claiming to be Jake's wife.

Jake is stunned but Elizabeth is suspicious and asks many questions of the mystery woman.

Patrick and Sam return from Boston and walk in on Alexis and Julian who are getting busy in her living room.

Olivia talks about her choice with Ned and he senses she is having second thoughts.

Lulu and Tracy meet Patricia's daughter who tells them that her mother is dead but Tracy feels she is hiding something.

Luke threatens his niece telling her that he doesn't believe her story that her mother Patricia is dead.

Tracy tells Lulu that she cannot believe Lulu is fooled and insists that there is something going on in the apartment.

Patrick asks Sam to move in with him and a shocked Sam tells him she needs to think about it.

Julian asks Alexis to move in with him but she uses Molly as an excuse why she can't.

Alexis tells Julian that she doesn't believe Rick has changed and doesn't want Molly living with him.

Elizabeth and Jake discuss why Hayden would lie and wait for proof.

Rick provides documents for Hayden to show Jake and they talk about how their meeting on a dating site has worked out for both of them.

Hayden takes his cash with the promise of more when she succeeds in breaking up Jake and Elizabeth.

The Week in Review and What's to Come

It was a slow week on GH and we continue to be dragged along hoping for a reunion of Sam and Jason who still is going through life as Jake Doe. The Luke fiasco is continuing as well with Lulu and Tracy hot on the trail to find the reason behind Luke's breakdown. Here's what happened this past week on GH

Dante continued his search for Luke who escaped from Ferncliff while worrying about Lulu and Tracy who went on a search for Patricia Spencer.

Dante also got in the middle of the Nathan/Maxie/Spinelli drama and accidentally spilled the truth about Nathan and Spinelli's "dual" with Maxie as the prize.

Maxie was torn about her feelings telling Lulu she felt like her mother did when she was torn between Frisco and Mac.

Spinelli with Sonny's help challenged Nathan to a boxing match with the prize being Maxie.

Nathan reluctantly agreed even though Dante warned him that Maxie would not be happy about it.

Lulu and Tracy arrived at Patricia's only to be told by her daughter that Patricia was dead.

They were unaware that Luke was hiding out in the apartment.

Chemotherapy was making Ava more depressed and when Silus told her that her labs showed it wasn't helping she chose to stop it.

Kiki and Morgan talked strategy in fighting Michael for custody of their sister.

Rosalie continued to spy for Nikolas and Helena and almost got caught by Sabrina and Michael.

Rosalie met Sabrina when she showed up at the office to see Michael.

Kiki had a run-in with Sabrina but Morgan cautioned her against doing anything that would hurt their custody fight.

Nina and Franco confessed to their act and looked for a way out of their situation.

Alexis realized she had her hands full with Nina.

Scott told Franco his hands were tied and he couldn't do anything to help.

Olivia wondered if she made the right choice in denying Julian the truth about their baby.

Anna worked harder to find out what Sloan was up to and worried about her own actions regarding Jordan's safety.

Rick devised a plan to get Elizabeth back into his life.

A mystery woman showed up at Elizabeth's looking for Jake.

Who is behind the mystery woman's appearance? Rick or Helena?

Spencer overheard Nikolas talking about Cam's accident and demanded that his father have him arrested.

Emma came to visit Spencer who was self-conscious about his injuries from the fire.

Sam asked Nikolas again what he knew about Jake but Nikolas avoided answering.

Nikolas seemed determined to push ahead with his grandmother's plan to take over ELQ.

Next week we will be building up to GH's Anniversary special on April 1st where it is promised that we will finally get answers as to why Luke Spencer snapped.

Sonny Meets Jake

Sonny goes to Carly's where he meets Jake.

Sonny grills Jake about the kiss he shared with Carly on New Year's Eve and Jake tries to assure a suspicious Sonny that Carly is only a friend and she only has romantic interest in Sonny.

They discuss how Jake stepped out of the way when Rick returned but now Rick and Elizabeth are through.

Sonny isn't convinced by anything Jake says and when Jake tells him that he will be working for Julian, Sonny gets extremely angry.

Carly and Rick go at it about his relationship with Elizabeth and Rick taunts her that her interest in Jake is a little too friendly.

Jordan is stunned when Duke orders her to kill Julian. Duke refuses to address Jordan's concerns that Shawn's suspicions of her caused him to test her loyalty.

Jordan agrees to do what Duke asks and then runs off to see Anna.

Nathan gives Anna a hard time about putting Jordan's life in jeopardy after Jordan begged to get out of her undercover work. Anna admits that her judgment is off.

Patrick and Elizabeth discuss Jake's new job prospect and question why Carly would help Jake work for Sonny's enemy.

Sam and Julian have a heart to heart after he agrees to give Jake a job.

Sam goes to see Patrick feeling good about their romance.

Rick feels convinced that Elizabeth will be coming back to him.

Carlos asks Sabrina what she will do if called to testify against him. Sabrina doesn't want to see him in jail and tells him about her new job. Carlos worries that she will be on Sonny's bad side for taking the nanny position.

The Week in Review

Ava was devastated to learn that she was dying of cancer and felt anger over the news that Michael had won custody of her baby.

Silus tried to convince Ava that the only hope for a cure was testing her baby to see if she was a match but Ava rejected the idea.

Ava then came up with a plan for Silus and Kiki to fight for custody of Avery and told Silus that Julian would help them if asked.

Meanwhile Kiki got outraged when she learned that Michael wanted to hire Sabrina to be her baby sister's nanny. She ran to Julian and begged him to help her.
